The road to happiness is paved with Legos. Or, it should be. They're just dimply little blocks o' fun. I want a Glamorous Blogger Lego minifigure...'cept mine would be in sweats and a hoodie...and holding a really large latte.

Totally livin' Lego at my house! My husbnad thought I was nuts when I bought the first set, I played with it more than my son, who was only 2 at the time. Now both my kids love to build with them and love the Lego Batman, Indiana Jones and Star Wars video games! Inevitably, after a rousing PS2 lego Star Wars game, the real Legos come out and they reinact several scenes from the movie. And like you, with all of the toys that have been given away or tossed, Legos are still here and the collection continues to grow! Legos Rock.

OH! My kids love Legos! My 13 year old daughter even plays with them still. And, yes, I played with them when I was a kid, too. I love your blog!

I love the idea of Lego, but for some reason my boys just haven't gotten into them. They loved playing with Duplo, but haven't really transfered over to the tiner pieces. I've been told that it might help them if I buy one of the kits. Maybe Santa will be Lego Happy this year.

I got the first set of Legos in our family, in 1969, when I was four. Like yours, it was a big set of just bricks -- red, white, blue, yellow, and I think that was it. No shapes -- none. No people. No trees. We LOVED it. Obsessively. And started a collection that exists to this day, in the huge deep bottom drawer of a dresser.

Still love the plain bricks. Don't love the highly specialized and pre-printed pieces which sort of stifle creativity. But still love Lego. If only I had some boys.

[...] Pouring my heart out. Brick by brick. With multitudes of loving grandparents and relatives it seems my boys have owned every single toy on the market. And every year- before Christmas we clean out their rooms and toy boxes with the toys they have out grown. … [...]

I live 5 minutes from Legoland, we go once every week or two to the place, and yet...my two boys and I just don't have the love for Lego's. I personally never had love for Lego's myself. Never. My boys don't seem to have it yet either. What's wrong with us? Maybe you have to be the creative type to like Lego's?
We like Legoland alot, but it's like we don't even appreciate the "Lego" aspect of it. Hmmm...Oh well.
