Once upon a time a husband, who by no fault of his own was married to a blogger. One night while she was out to dinner he took it upon himself to hang the Christmas lights on their house AND to put up the Christmas tree. He was pretty proud of himself since it was only Nov 8th. Unfortunately the blogger (we will call her Soliloquy, since that is her alias name) came home and was LESS THAN THRILLED. She blogged about it here. To which a reader commented ‘he should have to give you a gift for every day that the tree is up early’. And because the husband is a saint good sport, he agreed. But only until Nov 21, which was the day he was ALLOWED by the Christmas Warden his wife to put the tree up. He proceeded everyday with some or other gift. And do you know what he did for the grande finale? Do you?? He FLEW two of Soliloquy’s blogger friends in for the weekend. YUP I was a gift along with Shauna. And man-O-man was it great. We hiked, we shopped for antiques, we drank, we went to the ‘Big Snow’ concert, we talked, we starved, we ate. And we laughed. We laughed A LOT. My husband is confused by all this. Still not understanding why someone else’s husband flew me across the country for a playdate with his wife. But he was kind about it- and over entertained the boys all weekend long while I was being silly and frivolous in Atlanta. (Thank you husband. I know I confuse you. But it is all part of the ‘magic of me’… I might be difficult-but valuable to the team don’t you think?)
Thank you Spin (blogger widow husband). I love to be surpised more than anything. But to actually BE THE SURPRISE? Well, it was magical.

Glad you had fun and made it back safely. Atlanta is beautiful this time of year isn’t it?
What a wonderful adventure. Cheers to the fabulous men in our lives who support us in our blogging.
Came here from Soliloquy. Looks like you all had lots of fun! So jealous.
What a nice husband:-)
Larry would pay your toll on the 241 so you could come see me…not really the same though.
Glad you had fun. You are a very precious gift to anyone who is lucky enough to be your friend.
No glamourous thoughts here. Just glad you’re home in the OC where the sun shines bright, the wind blows, and then the hills burn. We all need you here.
Am I the only one having trouble with your blog layout? The left column is sitting on top of the middle.
Y’all are just having way too much fun!
Do you think Soliloquy’s hubby would fly you up here to see me?
Let’s ask.
