Found Today is a somewhat sorta not really reoccurring feature here at The Association. Showcasing the weird glamorous odd things I find as a wife and mother to two boys. Remember the fridge ninja? So today as I listened to my dryer tumble I took mental bets (what you don’t bet yourself? ) about what I would find. Odds were it was going to be small rocks, which for some reason the same boys who refuse to pick up any small toy part on the floor inside the house, will compulsively pick up stupid ROCKS when outside the house. And then put them in their pocket. And then forget about them. Until I get to find them in the laundry. So what did I find?
Coins. But not just any coins. These are coins that their Uncle Steve showed them how to cut with heavy duty tin snips. Hello? Economy anyone? Looks like I need to have a chat about the value of a dollar. Or the value of a quarter, nickel and a penny. Of course I am sure the memory made doing it with their favorite Uncle is priceless.

Hide the Susan B Anthonys!!
Wow.
Just from the picture, and the beginning of the story I was going to ask you what kind of dryer you had?!
But I get it now. :->
Yeah…I thought the dryer did it too. I am glad to hear it was the Uncle and the boys:-)
Hey! Maybe today y’all can flush some George Washington’s down the toilet.
That would be fun!
An hour of free kid-type entertainment? priceless!
I was in shock for a moment too – what a powerful dryer you have! Glad you explained it.
I get the rocks in the pockets too. What the heck?
Laughing at the picking up rocks but not toys thing. I have 2 boys that do the same thing! And I have found some pretty amazing things in my dryer. I am getting pretty good at guessing from the type of clunk it makes what exactly is bouncing around with the clothes these days.
Do you get crop circles on your lawn, too? Just checking.
Ach, nothing like truly illustrating the diminishing value of our money.

agree, really I have opinions of my own — strong opinions — but I don’t always agree with them
