SkyWatch Friday

Disneyland ~ Anaheim, California

While visiting the park last week, I looked up and noticed the parade float toppers were Mickey and Minnie inflatables. Which both made for a nearly irresistible photo opportunity given the deliciously cloudy sky as a back drop. And when the Mickey shaped confetti started to fall, I clicked away at furious speed, capturing the classic Matterhorn Mountain and even a little glimpse of Tinker Bells fly-line in the sky. And I giggled when I saw the final photo; it looks like Mickey has his arms stretched out to see if he can catch some of the celebration…..or he is giving the sky a great big hug.

Our carpooler left for Disneyland today! I hope she gets to see some great skies, too. And Mickey and Minnie! Have a great Friday.

I really like the second shot. Funny thing is I was born and raised in O.C., but it’s been years since I went to Disneyland, after seeing your pictures I really want to go.

This turned out great, Marcy. I have one of Minnie that is the same. They look like they are catching the balloons and confetti, you’re right.
