There are some jobs a father shouldn’t have to do, but the awkwardness is outweighed by the desire to not be an unplanned grandfather.
This is by far the weirdest advertising scenario I’ve ever seen for sex education. Both parents? A record player? Sitting on daddy’s lap?
I guess it was the “hip/cool” thing to do because there was a record playing at the same time? So weird!
Actually, I have always had a very frank relationship with my father (an Animal Husbandry major and dairyman who didn’t hold back when discussing sex-for-procreation). But I swear to you I would never in a million years have sat on his knee (he’s probably thankful for that, too) during any such discussion. And having Mom there too would have totally creeped me out as it dawned on me that they were both in on this . . .
