How would you like to Print AND Prosper? (give-away)

eps7_front

GIVE-AWAY CONTEST IS CLOSED! Thanks to all for entering!!! Winner will be announced Monday May 11th!!!!

Good Monday Morning to you-how about I give away something?

Recently some of you may have heard me Tweet about the fact that I went to the office supply store and spent $50 on ink for my HP printer and $50 on a leather office chair. The ink will last me about 3 months, and the chair has a 10 YEAR warranty! And that was what got me thinking….there has to be a better way. I looked into the ink cartridge re-fills but frankly they looking messy and difficult. (I could see great ink stains on me if I even tried) So last week when I got a Kodak Esp 7 all-in-one printer for my boys computer upstairs I was very excited. I wanted this particular printer for several reasons; one because it has WiFi technology which meant I could put this printer ANYWHERE and it no longer had to stay within a cord length of the desk top, and secondly because of the amazing cost savings of the ink. After only 5 minutes of install I was printing from the boys computer and from my office down stairs. I may or may not have even  printed out a letter to the boys which told them to stop playing computer games and brush their teeth! On top of the cool WiFi feature it is fast, clear and quiet. Combine that with Kodak photo paper and it made for some beautiful results.

Curious how much a Kodak printer could save you on your ink annually? Visit here. There is a fancy program that can calculate the savings based on your current printer.

Even more curious and are wishing there was some way to get a fabulous Kodak ESP7 Printer for yourself? Do one or ALL of the following before Saturday, May 9th. (Winner will be announced May 11th 2009)….

I need this printer… BADLY!! What would I do with the money-hmm….so many things but probably splurge on a girls getaway weekend somewhere fun.

elizabethk May 4, 2009 at 4:30 am

I would love to have BIG money/savings – to clean up poor neighbourhoods. Saw a flickr post by someone documenting the ruins of many a Detroit neighbourhood/schools – etc., SO sad and wrong. Anyway, I know I won’t have that big of savings but I would put it to some good use. (Swim lessons for me – to keep up with my ducks!?)

I dislike refilling my printer with a hot passion. I bought one of those do-it-yourself cartridge refill (syringe/needle like things) and what a complete disaster that was!

Thanks for the opportunity!

Tonya May 4, 2009 at 6:49 am

I would love the printer & would probably “reinvest” the money in splurging on a really cool purse for myself, that I can’t justify right now. LOL

sher May 4, 2009 at 6:50 am

what would i do with the money? i could say give it to the poor. i could say i would donate it to the animal shelter. i could also say i would use the money toward the kids’ college funds.

knowing me, though, i suspect it will end up being part of my personal effort to restimulate the american economy. see, i am attempting to lose weight — plenty of it since i became ill and began looking like jabba the hut thanks to doses of prednisone — and mama needs a new pair of pants.

WHEN i succeed (not if this time — every time is if, and i need to back off from the tentative stuff), i intend to get INTO the pictures with my kids (instead of hiding behind the camera as always) and print those suckahs out.

(and i suspect the kids will hijack the printer eventually to do nutty stuff like print out their homework. wacky kooks they are!)

cool idea, marci. some day, you’ll have to splain to me how its done :-) good luck, and thanks!

Shauna May 4, 2009 at 7:08 am

I need the printer badly. And I need the scholarship to Blogher. I will go ahead and pimp you out all over the internet!

Shauna May 4, 2009 at 7:09 am

Oh yeah – and with the extra money – I may actually pay some of my bills.

Selfish Mom May 4, 2009 at 8:35 am

I would use the extra money to buy printer paper and ink! I would love the feeling of knowing that my printing was funding more printing.

What a great giveaway Marcy. I have posted on my blog and will update my Facebook account to link back here also. With the savings I calculated, I might even be able to get a couple of manicures that I badly need.

Meg May 4, 2009 at 10:03 am

I just dropped $45 on ink cartridges. That would buy a giant bottle of Bombay Sapphire. Just sayin’.

Will be entering other ways this week.

Alisa May 4, 2009 at 11:15 am

I would like to think I would do something grand with the money, kind, and loving, selfless even. I would probably blow it on yarn though.
Or I will be forced to buy new clothes for these kids who refuse to quit growing.
I love this printer though. That counts for something right?
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!

Jennifer, Playgroups are no place for children May 4, 2009 at 11:46 am

What would I do with the money I’d save…hmmm….probably spend it on clothes or shoes. I’m kinda shallow like that.

Don't Start None...There Won't be none May 4, 2009 at 12:30 pm

I love this printer!!! I bet I would love it even more if I were using it!! I would probably buy cake stuff. Or stuff for my house, or clothes for my kids…cause ya know they need more!

Jennifer May 4, 2009 at 1:12 pm

Oh I would put it towards my DSLR camera that I’ve been saving up for forever!

Heather May 4, 2009 at 1:36 pm

I love it! I would donate the money I saved to our church. I know, it sounds like such a suck-up answer and I’m sorry for that. I’ve just been looking for ways to give a little extra, so found money like this is a great way to do it!

Heather May 4, 2009 at 1:39 pm

Just tweeted from @hopelessnflawed

I would invest the money saved into my budding photography business. I could really use some equipment!

Nell@SheSnaps.com May 4, 2009 at 4:01 pm

It says I’d say 90.54, so I’d probably use that money towards paying off our mortgage early.

I don’t know how to link to my tweet, but if you look at your @’s you’ll find mine … it’s from casualeveryday and here it is:

casualeverydaywhat doyaknow, here’s another chance to win that printer from @TheGlamLife & Kodak. http://tinyurl.com/dma9pxless than 5 seconds ago from web

amber May 4, 2009 at 4:54 pm

I could save $100 on ink! This would come in handy and would give me extra cash to put towards the home business I am starting :) This printer would be perfect for my business also, as my printer is pretty old and as you can see, the ink cartridges are expensive! I’d love to win, thanks so much!

britta May 4, 2009 at 5:36 pm

i would use the extra money for my remodeling projects on my house

britta May 4, 2009 at 5:37 pm

subscribed to the association!

Crystal May 4, 2009 at 5:39 pm

I want the printer and I’d use the saved $$ towards the divorce attorney bills I have to pay to get away from my dick of a husband.

We are THAT family May 4, 2009 at 5:47 pm

I would LOVE to win this printer! Mine just broke :(

With the money I saved, I would change the world. Okay, well, maybe I would change the filters more often in my house.

Tweeted it too!!

Laura May 4, 2009 at 6:00 pm

I would put the $182 towards our clothing allowance!

Whit May 4, 2009 at 7:01 pm

I would probably save $73.81. I went with the industry average, because they didn’t list our printer… well it’s actually a fax machine, but who cares. Our actual printer died. But considering I’m going back to school in a month, it would probably go to childcare or tuition…

Nancy@Bacardi Mama May 4, 2009 at 8:07 pm

My $125.47 would probably go to spoiling my beautiful granddaughters.

foolery May 4, 2009 at 9:21 pm

My printer? Do you really think a non-techie like MOI has a printer? Well, I do . . . I just don’t use it. Swear to heaven above it’s true. But not because I don’t want to — I CAN’T JUSTIFY THE COST!

So, yes, I would be thrilled. And the money I wouldn’t save would still be used to stimulate our economy . . . probably buying a boatload of tonic, ice and limes to drink with Meg.

And little umbrellas.

racheal May 4, 2009 at 9:54 pm

i’d splurge and get “fun” things like oreo stix instead of just “need” things silly milk.

Wendy May 4, 2009 at 11:24 pm

Wow-the site says I would save $270.58/yr. Worth a shot! So many shoes could be bought with that!

Erin May 5, 2009 at 6:01 am

I would save $90.91, and I’d use that to buy a few new pairs of shoes!

Krissy May 5, 2009 at 6:17 am

I’d probably go buy a new pair of workout pants and shoes to go with, since I spend a lot of time at the gym.

krystyn May 5, 2009 at 6:42 am

I would use the $129.60 weekly savings towards diapers and clothes for my little guy. It would make day to day living a lot easier.

Jackie May 5, 2009 at 7:13 am

I would save $72.00 and I would probably print more pictures. I avoid printing right now b/c of the cost!

Heather May 5, 2009 at 8:40 am

I could save at least $95.95! Then, maybe Mama could have some new clothes, too! :)

Martha May 5, 2009 at 9:54 am

I have a Canon Selphy printer which isn’t listed. Even though it’s a nice little printer I don’t print all that often. Based on the average printer, my savings would be 7 cents. I think I’ll put that toward the new air conditioner we have to buy since ours went out last year. Just $9,999.93 left to come up with!

Martha May 5, 2009 at 10:08 am
Jenn Calling Home May 5, 2009 at 10:25 am

Would save $103, which would buy me a new pair of “hot” jeans.

Jennifer May 5, 2009 at 11:04 am

Oh this commercial always intrigues me! Not very exciting, but I have one CC with a small balance left on it that I have been chipping away at—I would apply the savings toward that so I can be one step closer to paid off!

Jennifer May 5, 2009 at 11:06 am

Also I would buy formula and diapers with the saved money, we don’t have a printer at the moment and it is such a hassle!!

lee of mwob May 5, 2009 at 1:01 pm

Marcy, I want and need this printer. And with the money I will save I am going to to on an underwear shopping spree for some Hanky Panky thong underwear!

I’m gonna tweet this and everything else you want me to do when I get to my computer. Wow lady… You rule the blogging world with this one.

P.S. I’m going to Catalina in a couple weeks and staying at the Pavilion!! Thanks!!

Soliloquy May 5, 2009 at 2:49 pm

Again – may I point out how many prize whores have entered your contest who do NOT regularly comment??

Ahem. (A lot of people are going to HATE me, now!)

Would LOVE the printer. Might use the extra savings for some photography classes…. you KNOW I need ‘em. But, if I’m being honest, I might also use it for some Botox. You know – so I look better IN my photos…..

LOVE the wi-fi feature…. I think it would be fabulous with my new birthday camera and WIRELESS data card.

And oh yeah – the giveaway ends ON my birthday, so there would be that bonus. Not to mention the chance of a sponsored trip to BlogHer with you. Does it GET any better??

Okay. Going to check off the list above so I can get as many entries as possible.

Lynette May 5, 2009 at 2:49 pm

I would save the money to spend at the Blogher in Chicago that I’m going to win the scholarship to…:)
It would be a great prize!!
Thanks

Lori Haynes May 5, 2009 at 3:00 pm

I would spend every penny on myself! Maybe some new fancy jeans!

Heather @ Domestic Extraordinaire May 5, 2009 at 3:50 pm

I would put that money towards the 18-270mm lens I have been coveting. With nearly $200 in savings a year that is a nice bit of cash towards it.
