We were busy busy this 3 day weekend. And if it is one thing Massura’s know how to do- it is to have FUN in their own ‘backyard’. There was the fun time in Newport, two days of family tennis, swimming and a bar-b-que at our club and then we capped it all of with a White Sox-Angels game last night. Here is a view from our seats. Amazing right?
We were bit of divided home last night. Since Tucker and The Husband were born in Chicago they insist on remaining White Sox loyal. Jack and myself? Anahiem Angels all the way. And unfortunately for us, the White Sox won. By A LOT (17 to 3!). But thing that was most enjoyable was experiencing all of this through my sons eyes. If you would have asked me 11 years ago if I would be excited to go to a sporting event…I would have LAUGHED. LOUDLY. But to go to these things with the kids so excited, getting autographs from players, cheering their team on and just generally loving every swingin minute…well things have changed.
Actually.
I have changed.
And I love it.

Seeing the excitement in your children’s eyes is what life is all about. I find myself in awe of what I now find exciting as a mom. Great post Marcy!! Great pictures and killer seats!! I love the pictures of your sons- They are seriously cute!
Weren’t those seats GREAT!!!???
I’m with you, although, baseball has always been a slight obsession with me. I never thought watching soccer would be on my list of cool ways to spend my time. Kids are the best.
All those many years of camping in the desert- so that you and your bro could ride your quads and play “hide and seek” in the dunes at night! A sacrifice on my part…
but worth it cuz you both loved it so.
I would love to take my girls to a big league game some day; we went to a couple of baseball and one REALLY important football game when I was growing up, and it was great. Someday.
I love taking my boys to Anaheim Stadium, they enjoy every minute of it. It really is wonderful experiencing a game through their eyes. They love it when the Rally Monkey appears!
