When my Tucker was a toddler he just didn’t get the point of wearing clothes. He was one of those kids who took his clothes off every chance he got and was perfectly comfortable being ‘nakie’ all day long. After awhile I just got used to it. He swam in our yard nakie. He played dress up nakie (boots and a hat are all you really need to say I am a cowboy), he took photos nakie, he waited for Daddy to come home nakie and he played ball nearly nakie as well. And there was nakie slip-n-slide, nakie dancing and yes, nakie dinner time too. Occasionally he would put on his big-boy underwear to golf and even to ride his bike. Which is really the photo that brought me to share this on the Fro today…
He was just learning to ride at age 2 and while he practiced and I proudly took photos I had totally forgotten about the fact that he was riding around the neighborhood in his undies. This fact was not lost on my neighbor however, who came out front and said, only half jokingly “I hope that photo isn’t gonna be for your Christmas card this year!”. And it was then I realized just how used to seeing my Tucker living his life nakie I was and how odd it must have looked to my neighbor with no children. Hey at least I managed the helmet and shoes right? Oh man, these were happy joyful times and I miss them terribly now.
And before you ask-I didn’t use the photo for our Christmas card…or frame it for above the mantle.
But thank goodness for The Fro. Now I can share it all with you.
Now it is your turn. Check out the guidelines here. And then play along!!!

Let’s hope one of these photos doesn’t end up on a billboard in the Czech Republic!
May the ‘fro live forever. Amen.
Gotta love a little streaker. Every family has one!
I love how he called it “nakie.” So cute! My older girl went through that phase too. She’d just strip down to her diaper or pull-up wherever we went that summer. And there I’d be, picking up shoes and shorts and tank tops in her wake. When she was a bit older, she got mad at all the naked pictures of her in the photo album, as if I’d forgotten to dress her. As if she had nothing to do with it.
(Sorry can’t participate this week; I can’t find the incriminating photos. I’ll track them down for the next event.)
I love your nakie story – so adorable! I have a nakie girl here, too.
I love this series and story! My parents relate a time when I was about 3 and I walked down the street of Jackson Hole, WY singing Down In The Valley in just a diaper. GOOD thing there is no picture of that!
So cute! Look at those buns!

He’s a doll!
I myself am naked nearly all the time. The neighbors complain, but hey, they can just close their curtains, now, can’t they?
Nothing wrong with being naked it all the time. I would never wear clothes if it didn’t scaring the children. For some reason, people scream and run. Not nearly as cute as a little kid.
Oh ya- forgot to tell you the school called again. Something about Tucker…and clothes….I didn’t catch the entire message…..
We don’t have to be nakie for Mr. Linky, do we?
I think it would cause his early demise. Or drive him to drink.
More.
