Yesterday Jack and I headed up to Los Angeles from the OC to visit one of my our favorite places…The Los Angeles County Museum of Art. And as it turns out it is one of his favorite places too. We both very literarily screamed upon walking into a room and being faced with Jeff Koons balloon dog. We had just seen him profiled on TV, and I have to tell you his work is even more impressive in person. And Jack almost fell over when he saw the Warhol soup can. (which had been practically pushed aside for the Koons exhibit). We marveled at Picassos, Lichtenstiens and more. No photos are allowed….so that made taking them all the more exciting…we became undercover art spies. I made a tiny little video of us before we went in- where Jack talks like a gangster and I mock the hanging plastic installation. Sans the traffic on the way back to the OC; this was a perfect day for both of us. I am glad I no longer live in Hollywood, but it sure it fun to visit with my boys.

Very fun … we went there Easter ’08 and I got the BEST picture of the light posts on my cell phone. It’s STILL my background – it was THAT good – haha.
