So like ALL things I do…I am obsessing and pre-planning for BlogHer. What can I say?…I like to be PREPARED. So I have started my hunt for a classic little black dress to wear to the endless (not complaining) cocktail parties (like THREE a night!). And before you look at the first set of dresses and want to scream NO, MARCY! Don’t worry…these are in my ‘don’t list’. But let’s take a closer look shall we? I would have bought #1 if say I was going for the rectangle figure look. Even #1 model looks a little depressed to be wearing it. #2 looks like the girl is trying to pass off her husbands t-shirt for dress, #3 WOW. Horizontal stripes? I think if a dress makes an anorexic model look heavy- probably not gonna work on me and even though #4 is cute…I am hoping for something thank looks less maternity. I don’t want to have to drink away the pain of someone asking me “So when are you due?”.
#1 to #4 of the WTH options…
So here are a few more, and these are ones I really like.
#1to #4 of the GOOD options….
I am thinking #1 with the cute feather pattern might confuse people into looking here and there and not into my ‘trouble areas’. My trouble areas are like the Gaza Strip….no one wants to stay there too long if you don’t have to. But #2 is the ideal look for me. Sorta June Cleaver gets her glam on. I not only want to own this dress- I want to actually BE THIS MODEL please. Doesn’t she look like she could kick your ass with her words? I think I love her. I already own about 3 different versions of #3. It is a ‘sheath’ (which sounds like a kind of condom actually) but is always something I gravitate towards. But I think they might be better suited for a funeral or job interview than BlogHer. #4 is yummy. Nice distracting print (see #1 for why) and I am guess this dress travels well too. Plus, look how happy the model is….isn’t that how you pick out clothes? The one with the happiest model?

Definitely #2. Fits the blog, the brand. Yep, definitely #2.
I want to be model #2 too! Damn. She’s cute.
Can’t wait to see the reveal at BlogHer. : )
I like #2, too. I like the sleeve length. It is always FREEZING at hotel events. I wouldn’t dream of wearing short sleeves. I do like dress #4, too.
Dress #1 is too short.
I love #2. It’s screaming your name. Please tell me you bought it!
#2 is you. Rooting for #2 but also love the off the shoulder of #3.
I think #4 is perfect.
Number #1 for sure.
Number two looks too much like a dress to wear to the office. Not a “cocktail dress.”
#4
I vote for 2 and 4. 2 in the office? No way. This is definitely Vogue catalog retro cocktail. I like 4 because it’s fun, like you.
#2 for the win!
#3 is my style, and now I need to buy it. After I lose 45 pounds and my Aunt Bea arm flaps.
