How many people does it take to get a few pigs to a fair?
A LOT.
Today we took MegaBite (yes our 4H pig) to the OC Fair.
And it was quite an ordeal involving tons of people, a huge livestock trailer and a whole lot of pig poop. Yes all the makings of another glamorous day. Happily the pig survived the trip and I was able to decorate the pen while wearing flip flops, then we washed the pig and SHAVED it (yup more glamour) and even had time to visit Hercules the giant horse. (for photo perspective Tucker is well over 4 ft tall.) We are home on ‘break’ and need to return for more of the same. And do it all day for the next 4 days….I know, I know you all wish you were me right now.

Doesn’t look much like the Charlotte’s Web movie I remember as a kid…I bet your pig doesn’t get that happy ending either. =)

Looks like a Belgian gelding. We had one on the ranch for several months (a mare) that weighed over 2800 pounds! Extraordinary animals and very gentle giants. Still, you wouldn’t want one to step on you.
