I awoke this morning to the sound of duct tape being ripped off the roll. Which in case you are wondering sounds a lot like someone breaking down your front door with a saw-really really slowly. So, yeah I woke up in a GREAT mood. Turns out the boys Googled and figured out how to make Duct Tape wallets. These photos are of their very first effort. Their latest models are much better including credit card pockets and personalized initials. I absolutely love to see that all the years of doing crafts and art projects with them has paid off. Now they WANT to be creative even when mommy is trying to sleep on her only day to sleep in isn’t around. I like to think they will be the guys in their dorm making creative music videos to impress their professors and having themed parties that everyone talks about for months.
I want them to learn that….
When you are creative…you are powerful.
You can make something from just about nothing.
Or in this case, you can make something from just duct tape.

How cute…those little rednecks…lol! I love a good craft!
I don’t think they could help but to be creative — it’s in their genes.
So my son has a duct tape wallet – a boy that he hangs with at school makes them and sells them and Zac decided to buy one. I didn’t know that this was the new “big” thing … thought it was just something his friend did one day.
Maybe the boys should start their own business selling them at school too – young entrepreneurs are the best!!
