How to be a blog pimp 101.

teeThere comes a time in every blogs life, that the author calls herself a “publisher” or “online journalist”, refers to writing as “generating content” and goes from just telling her friends and family about the site to putting real effort into “marketing the brand”. I am not gonna say this is necessary for success. Cuz I am sure it isn’t. And I have no idea if this helps The Glamorous Life grow in readership or page hits or revenue. But I will tell you…it is heckalotta fun to see The Association on t-shirts, stickers and what is that? A NECKLACE. I do this stuff cuz it makes me giggly inside. And because I am super duper proud of my happy little corner of the internet.

(Yes the photo people. Who by the way are now in cahoots with Flickr. You can access your galleries and all kinds of cool stuff. I know…exciting news huh?) And I just got news that Snapfish and Rachel Ray are working together to help a town (Wilmington, Ohio) that is basically devastated by the economic downturn. Read about that here. AND? From November 25 through December 2, you can purchase any photo book this holiday using the Rachael Ray promo code (RR BOOK), and Snapfish will donate $1 of the purchase proceeds to local food banks nationwide.

So go on you blog pimp you.

Tell the world about your blog.

Its okay. They won’t laugh.

Well, unless you want them to.

:)
