Welcome to the party. Hey look who just walked in the door! Its Not Drowning, Mothering! And she looks fabulous. Let’s learn a little bit more about her with my standard 7 questions I give to all my party guests.
What is your blog or website?
"Not Drowning, Mothering" – http://notdrowning.wordpress.com I write under the nom de guerre "The NDM" which stands for The Not Drowning Mother, or sometimes the Now Drinking Mother.
2. Does your site have a ‘tag line’ or one sentence summary?
One woman, three children, a husband & an unreasonably angry cat.
(Admittedly the cat is probably angry because he doesn’t appear in the blog very often).
3. We all have a ‘before and after’ time in our lives (ie: before kids, or after the big move etc)…what is yours?
Before I started my blog and after I started my blog.
Before I had somewhere to channel my creative energy and strange thoughts, I used to bake a lot more. My blog contains far less butter than chocolate brownies.
These days, it doesn’t matter what life throws my way because I’m always thinking "At least it’ll make good bloggage".
4. Tell us a little about just how ‘Glamorous’ your life is these days…
When Marcy first asked me to answer these questions, I professed that my life is more clamorous than it is glamorous. And yet, when I *do* manage to find clean underwear and brush my teeth and hair, I feel like a million dollars.
5. Do you Twitter? If so what is a typical tweet from you?
Do I twitter! I’d like to say I put the "wit" in "twitter" but it’s probably more a case of "twit". My twitter handle is http://twitter.com/TheNDM
A typical tweet might be:
"I have a Barbie ice cream cake in my deep freezer, with cling wrap wrapped around her head and face. It feels wrong."
6. If you could do something over again…what would that be?
Probably these questions. Admittedly it’s a bit sad to want to do something again before I’ve even finished it.
7. Which of the Care-Bears would you be? (which one trait do people identify with you most)
I’m definitely Funshine, if only because I love a good pun. Just call me Punshine.
