Guess where I am right now?
I am out in the middle of Death Valley riding quads and motorcycles.
I am SERIOUS.
I AM.
Since my dad died 5 years ago it has been just too damn hard to even think about it.
I sold my Banshee Quad while still grieving, and I regret it. Happily my dad’s enclosed trailer was kept like a sacred tomb. None of us could even deal with going in there, let alone cleaning it out. And we still have plenty of quads and motorcycles to go around. So after weeks of getting everything working great and cleaning my dad’s killer pit-crew quality trailer…we are off.
So today, while you are reading this I am probably flying high and fast up Competition Hill at Dumont Dunes impressing my boys below who are sure to think I am the coolest mom in the world now. I plan to have the wind in my face and sand in my bra and the world’s biggest smile from ear to ear for a few days.
And the best part? I know for sure my dad will be there with me too.
It was his happy place.
And that makes it mine too.
I am on my way Dad.
Yup. That is me. About 4yrs.
