World Trade Center Steel in Yorba Linda, CA

Before I dropped him off on his first day of school this year, Tucker and I visited with the World Trade Center steel at Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, CA.

I will save you the “this is where-i-was-and-this-is-what-I-was-feeling on 9/11 story.” We all have a story. And honestly, it is only our own story that matters. It really only matters how this event effected you.

I particularly love the articles and blog posts, that try to claim America is more understanding, more loving and more appreciative of human life.

No we are not.

According to this site there have been over 100,000 civilian deaths so far in the war.

And on this site they detail the 6,000 members of military who have died.

Sure, we had to do something.

But 10 years later are we better off or worse off?

Are we more hateful or less hateful?

Are we more revengeful or less revengeful?

Are we more loving or less loving?

By the way, I am flying this year on 9/11 to Chicago.

On American Airlines.

Of course.
