This is my cousin, Crystal Harris. I testified at her trial and have been astonished at her strength and resilience. She has even entered a bill with the help of Assembly members into the legislature (which is being sponsored by the San Diego County’s District Attorney office) to help correct this terrible ‘loop hole in the law’ from every victimizing another spouse ever again. It is disgusting and horrifying that any judge would order a victim to pay financial restitution to her abuser. I hope he loses his seat on the bench – people like that, people who are devoid of a moral compass, have no business doling out punishments and rewards. I hope that this bill passes so no more women have to be victimized all over again at the hands of a malicious judge.
